The Easter Bunny will be hopping all the way to the Peninsula Family Easter Picnic next month and I have a family pass up for grabs.
Children will be able to hunt for thousands of Easter eggs and everyone’s favourite friend – The Easter Bunny, will be performing on stage and children can join in with the singing, dancing and interactive games being played. Plus Jimmy Giggle will be joining the fun and hosting this event.
There will also be live stage shows from Cat in the Hat, Bananas in Pyjamas, Spot and familiar characters will also be making appearances. Kids can make an Easter
masterpiece of their own to take home, at the free magical craft village. Plus there will be rides and amusements, and so much more family entertainment.
The Peninsula Family Easter Picnic will be held on Sunday 13 April, 10am –3pm (with gates opening at 9:30am), at the Mornington Racecourse.

Watching my daughters face light up when she runs outside to find the eggs that the Easter bunny left in the garden! This year my twins will be old enough to join in, so it will be triple the fun! 🙂
(I do also LOVE hot cross buns. I try to eat as many as I can before Easter is over and they stop selling them!)

Easter means time with my family, which given a lot of them live interstate, it’s pretty special. Also means building happy memories with my boy. I also love Red Tulip Bird’s Eggs! Been my weakness for years 🙂

My favourite thing about Easter is the ever growing range of dairy free Easter eggs.
Jelly beans and lolly pops can only get you so far when everyone else is enjoying chocolate.
Coz that’s what’s Easter is about for a child.
He always participates in the Easter egg hunts. Happily collecting for others. Then swapping his at the end for something safe.
He is only 5 and has shown such maturity on previous years.
I have spend many a night making eggs for him out of dairy free chocolate.
I will still be making one egg this year though. As his favourite is his dairy free Humpty Dumpty. Still can’t get those yet.
Mandy Graham
My favourite thing about Easter is having fun Easter egg hunts with my boys.

We love easter for many reasons! We are Christians so the true meaning of Easter is priority…but we love easter for the Good Friday appeal supporting the royal children’s hospital- the hospital that has given us more years with our special little man, plus the Easter egg hunt we do in the backyard every year for our two sons- the looks on their faces are priceless and their enthusiasm is contagious!! 🙂
Jodie Farnsworth
As my children would say the chocolate and the excitement going on a hunt!
Selina
I love having a huge seafood feast on Good Friday and an Easter egg hunt on Easter Sunday.
Alison Wilson
I love the kids excited faces on Easter Sunday, telling me how they saw Easter Bunny hop past their window! And I love eating chocolate for breakfast!
Jessica Lee
I could say listening to the loud shrieks as the kids find the eggs in the egg hunt but my fav thing is cracking open a Humpty Dumpty egg and getting to all those sweet little beanies inside! Yummo!
michelle bishop
I love it when my boys tell us that they have seen the Easter bunny in our garden when all along its my husband wearing a hoody and planting chocolate eggs in the garden before the sun comes up for an Easter egg hunt.
Adele C
I love making my own easter traditions. Easter Eggs aren’t eaten until easter, we are going back to my hometown for the easter fair and I can’t wait to show my 18 month what it all means to me.
Erin
The Royal Easter show! It’s become an annual family tradition 🙂
Deanna Goff
I love catching up with all our family to celebrate Easter. The kids love sharing the day with all their cousins and their Easter egg hunt is amazing to watch with kids ranging from 2 – 22 joining in!

Having CHOCOLATE party at home and making different type of desserts for the kids. Yummy chocolate!
Lisa
My favourite thing about Easter is definitely the opportunity to enjoy my gorgeous children and spend lots of quality time with them. We have brilliant fun on Easter egg hunts, spend time with family and friends, have Easter picnics, share in some yummy Easter chocolates and indulge my daughters love for teddy bunny rabbits!
Nick Bradley
2 of my children go to a catholic primary (third one is only 2.5 yrs old).
My 9 year old is especially very religious, so Easter is the most important part of the Catholic calendar, celebrating the miracle of Christ’s resurrection.
My middle child is more interested in the Easter eggs hunts, which he loves with a passion (the competition amongst the cousins is high, but we eventually put all the eggs & bunnies together & split evenly).
My 2 .5 year old has just discovered chocolate, so as long as he gets a couple of eggs, he’ll be deleriously happy. (Even more so, if we can find someone dressed as an Easter Bunny for him to cuddle & high-five).
Given the above Easter is one of our favourite times of the year.
Nesrin Yalcin
We love the hot cross buns! Yummy!
Linda Colpoys
My favorite thing is watching my kids hunting for eggs especially as my three year old daughter feels she has to dress up as a rabbit to do so! 🙂
Narelle Moodie
I love seeing the look of wonder on my son’s face as he wanders around our garden finding eggs. Each egg seems like the most miraculous discovery to him and it is one of the happiest things I have ever seen. It is the one and only day of the year that we allow chocolate before breakfast so it’s a happy occassion for everyone!
Jemma y
We love making our easter eggs with Dairy Free chocolate as my oldest daughter has many allergies.
We love hiding easter eggs in garden for daughter’s to find
Love spending time with family so much laughter.
Lee Tancredi
I love a good Easter egg hunt!
Nadine Phillips
As a child my favourite thing was binging on chocolate! But as a first time mum it will be about family time and hopefully seeing my daughter going troppo at seeing Jimmy Giggle in the flesh!!!!!!!
Amy Blackwood
Lots and lots of chocolate!
Paula Minniti
My favourite thing about Easter when I was little was waiting to hear the Easter Bunny hop through the house. Now it is about my children and just listening to them talk about the Easter Bunny and the hope of having eggs left in the garden on Easter Sunday
Krysti
My favourite thing is going in and waking my kids up in the am so excited and them still rubbing their eyes trying to wake up and in the midst of the rubbing, they see the “bunny footprints” and the nests of hay with chocolate in them and the half eaten carrots. The screams of excitement is what Easter means to me. I want my children to have beautiful memories of Easter Sunday. Then the 4 of us, still in pyjamas, sitting in the backyard eating chocolate. You can see my daughter scoping the backyard for that one egg she may have missed.
Alex
Yummy oven warmed hot cross buns and easter craft!!
And also at 27 I STILL get excited that ‘easter Bunny’ still brings my sisters and I a red tulip bunny.
