I was recently invited to the launch of a new wrinkle reducing product — the Newa Skin Rejuvenation System from Homedics.
Yes, that’s right, a product to help REDUCE wrinkles. There was no way I was going to miss the chance to see this one. 🙂
What is Newa?
The Newa Skin Rejuvenation System works by delivering energy three layers deep into your skin, reactivating the natural collagen producing process. Nothing else can do this – no cream can reach these cells and fillers and chemicals canʼt achieve this.
Proven by dermatologists
Newa is powered by 3DEEP Technology, proven to be safe and effective by leading dermatological clinics around the world. And it’s now available for home use.
Clinically proven results
Newa has been clinically tested with proven immediate and long-lasting results.
Immediately* – 73% agree skin looks and feels lifted.
In 4 weeks* – 89% agree skin is tighter.
In 12 weeks** – clinically proven to reduce wrinkles by up to 45%.
* Based on an independent US clinical study of 45 users, including objective expert clinical grading, instrumental evaluation and image analysis assessments.
** Based on independent dermatologists’ assessment in clinical study of 60 users, according to the Fitzpatrick Wrinkle and Elastosis scale.
How it works
As we age our skin begins to lose collagen, which is what gives the skin its shape. This is the cause of fine lines, deep wrinkles and sagging skin.
Newa is clinically proven to reactivate your skins natural ability to produce collegen. More natural collagen means your skin is lifted and plumped up, so genuinely reducing wrinkles and fine lines around the eyes, face and neck.
Easy to use
Simply apply the specially formulated Newa Activator gel (supplied in the kit) onto the Newa. The instructions say to ‘apply two lines of the Activator on to the electrodes’ but I found it easier to just do one thick line.
Then, place the Newa on the chosen area and use a light circular motion to treat the skin for four minutes. You will begin feel a warm sensation on your face. I had the setting on 2 and found this to be ok but if it is too hot for you, you can change it to setting 1.
For the most effective results, you need to use the Newa five times a week for the first month and then continue twice a week after that.
I have been using the Newa for the past three weeks and I can definitely notice an improvement in my skin. From the first time I used Newa, my skin felt plumper and more hydrated.
I originally planned to use it on just one side of my face (so I could compare after four weeks) but after I had used it twice I began to worry that it would be noticeable that one side was better than the other, so I started it on the other side of my face too.
There are six treatment areas (upper cheek, lower cheek and under chin) that the Newa is suited for, however, I only used it on the two cheek areas on each side. I think I’ll start using it on my neck soon though.
You need to use the Newa for four minutes on each treatment area, so you should allow 30 minutes to first cleanse your face and then treat all areas. This may be a little time consuming but I guess it’s more convenient than having to drive to a salon and have a treatment there.
I used the Newa at night before I went to bed, so I set a reminder in my phone so I didn’t forget because I am usually up working and can caught up in what I’m doing.
It’s hard for me to give an accurate assessment on the reduction in wrinkles on my face but I can see the fine lines are less visible and my skin is certainly softer.
Newa retails for $499 and is available from the Shaver Shop. The activator gel is available to buy separately for $49.95 (one tube comes with the Newa). My tube will easily last for the 4 week period, so when you use the Newa on a twice weekly basis, I imagine one tube would last for approx 2-3 months.
It also comes with a 60 day money back guarantee.
I was given the Newa unit to try at home for the purposes of this review. All opinions are my own.
