I believe one of the most important things you can teach your child is how to swim!
For the past five years, I have been taking my kids to Paul Sadler Swimland and they LOVE it.
My daughter started lessons when she was one and my son started just before he turned three (neglected second child 😉 ).
I think because my daughter started so young she has always been confident around water and has never hesitated to hop in a pool or splash around at the beach. My son was a little hesitant at first, and would always cling to mummy or daddy whenever we went to a pool or the beach, but now after one year of lessons, he loves the water and is quite happy to get in without us (in fact he insists on it).
I grew up with a pool and have always loved the water, so I love that my kids enjoy it too.
My kids really look forward to their lessons each week and in fact, my daughter loves it so much, that she wants to be a swimming teacher when she grows up.
This month, Paul Sadler Swimland are celebrating their 10 millionth swim and to celebrate, one lucky Melbourne Mamma reader will WIN the following prize:

Swimming is a way of life in Australia. Being able to swim well has given me wonderful life experiences and opportunities. I hope my children find as much fulfillment in it as I do!!! Swimming lessons is only just the beginning…

With 4 girls who all have been using Paul Sadler Swimland for the past how many years, it sure would bring some financial relief to a one income family, who places great value in their daughters’ education including that of being able to safely manage themselves in water, a skill every parent should ensure their child has …at whatever cost.

If my little one year old angel can learn to swim now, by summer we can put a shark fin on her and let her loose! And with all that used up energy, she might be able to sit still after! Would be so reassuring to know that she will have the skills to be safe in the water.
Beck Thomas
My 1 yr old son is becoming more aware of water and his surrounds. Water safety is high on our priority list and Paul Sadler is the best in the business.
Paola
Both our girls are little swimmers at Paul Sadler. We love the team there and they know how to deal with the ‘fear factor’. Paying for a term will eliminate the fear and continue to teach great swimming skills. Watch out for 2 Olympian sisters!!

My daughter loves to swim she has named herself little Mermaid. Swimming needs to be taught as its a life skill they will use for the rest of their lives especially in Australia where there is so much water around. I want to have lessons for her but as a struggling single mum I cant afford lessons so instead I teach her a few times a week, but I don’t feel its the right way to learn so love to give her some lessons, its her birthday this month and this would be the best present I could give to her
Julian
We’ve been teaching our daughter to swim for a-g-es. She’s very slow on the uptake, and we’d appreciate extra swimming lessons for her!

I would love to win this for my 2 year old daughter as learning how to swim is very important & also fun. My daughter loves the water but haven’t been able to enrol her to lessons. We could use with some help because at the moment we are on one income as we have a three month old little boy. Fingers crossed 🙂
Renata
As a parent, one of the most heartfelt wishes we have for our children is that they experience happiness in life. Every level of swim offers an important benefit to the the emotional and social well-being of a child.

Because swimming lessons are one of those things that are essential to any child however they are often neglected as they are too expensive for the average family to afford.
I know this is the case for us 🙁
I would love to be able to interact with my daughter in the pool while teaching her a valuable life skill that not only can prove to be enjoyable but also help to save lives.
Heidi smith
my little girl is a little fish! and would live some formal extra lessons
Bree Hodgson
Having 17mo twins it would be a fantastic time for swim lessons to prepare for summer. They have a fantastic ability of always going in opposite directions, so anything I can do to make things safer around the water would be great!

Would love to start taking my daughter to swimming lessons. She turns 3 in a few weeks so would be a great gift!
Naomi Gladman
When you mentioned the neglected second child I instantly felt bad as I have a neglected third child who has never had swimming lessons and she has just turned 4 (we do go to the beach in summer weekly so not totally neglected!) but winning this would make me take her and give me the push I need to make time in our busy life and our friends go to Paul Sadler and highly recommend them
Melissa Puli
A great prize to help with the cost of swimming lessons… would come in very handy!
Ivanka kalaitzoglou
